Immerse yourself in WWII history by witnessing demonstrations and skirmishes, and then personally interact with members of the Greater Ohio Living History Association, WWII Mech Forces HQ. A great day to interact with history!

The Art & Science of Nature

Historical Independence Day Celebration

June 28, 2026 | 11:00 am - 4:00 pm

Commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence by attending a 19th century style Independence Day celebration outside at Piatt Castle!  Bring a picnic lunch, learn how to play period games such as cricket and roll hoops, enjoy poems and storytelling about July 4th customs, and listen to the Declaration of Independence read.  At the end of the day make “firecrackers” and watch them fly, and help make the cannon boom.  A fun family day!

West Central Ohio Community Concert Band

Autumn Games & Halloween Customs

October 24, 2026 | 4:00 pm

This outdoor event lets you have fun with nature as children used to do by making toys using grains and playing games with acorns. Learn about Halloween customs and hear/participate in spooky stories that are appropriate for all ages.  Help us scare the ghosts by coming in costume!
